Tense Choice in Reporting
(انتخاب زمان مناسب در جملهسازیهای غیرمستقیم)
💬 چرا اصلاً این مبحث مهمه؟
وقتی میخوای چیزی رو گزارش کنی، باید بدونی:
- ⏱ زمان جمله اصلی (گزارشدهنده) چیه؟
- 📌 و باید تو جملهی دوم (reported clause) چه زمانی استفاده بشه
پس: یاد میگیریم کِی زمانها تغییر میکنن و کِی نه 😎
🧱 ساختار کلی reported speech:
[reporting clause] + [reported clause]
- He said (that) he was tired.
- They told me (that) they had finished.
- I thought (that) she was right.
✅ ۱. اگه جمله اصلی در گذشته باشه:
یعنی گزارشگر در زمان گذشته حرف زده → جملهی دوم هم میره به گذشته
فرمول: گذشته → گذشته
مثال:"I don't want anything to eat."
Yusuf said that he didn't want anything to eat.
📝 یوسف گفت که هیچی نمیخواد بخوره.
🔄 جدول تغییر زمانها:

✅ ۲. اگه اتفاق قبل از حرف اصلی افتاده باشه:
یعنی ترتیب زمانی: اول اتفاق → بعدش گزارش → → پس past perfect
مثال:"We found the girl."
Police said that they had found the girl.
📝 پلیس گفت که دختر را پیدا کرده بودند.
✅ ۳. ولی اگه ترتیب زمانی واضحه، past simple هم کافیه
"I sent the invitations before the wedding."
She reassured me that she sent the invitations...
گفتن "had sent" هم ممکن بود، ولی چون ترتیب واضحه، "sent" کفایت میکنه.
✅ ۴. اگه حقیقت هنوز درسته یا همیشه درسته:
نیازی نیست زمان جملهی دوم رو ببری به گذشته
- Dr. Weir thinks that he spends five minutes... ➝ الان هم همینه
- They claim they have developed a vaccine ➝ نتیجه هنوز فعاله
✅ ۵. اگه مطمئن نیستی اون حرف هنوز درسته یا نه:
ترجیح اینه که جملهی دوم رو ببری توی گذشته (احتیاط)
- She said she had two cats. ✅
- She says she has two cats. ✅
✅ ۶. زمان reporting clause:
✴️ وقتی داری حرف گذشته رو گزارش میکنی:
Use past tense
She revealed that she had been married before.
📝 کمی قبل از ازدواجش، او گفت که قبلاً ازدواج کرده بوده.
✴️ ولی اگه موضوع هنوز درسته:
میتونی از حال استفاده کنی در reporting clause
- The law says minors can’t buy alcohol.
- My teacher tells me that I’m improving.

Last night, Sarah came home and told her mom,
“I lost my bag at school!”
She was very upset. Her mom asked her,
“Where did you last see it?”
Sarah answered, “I think I left it in the classroom.”
Later, Sarah’s mom told her dad:
“Sarah said that she had lost her bag at school.”
“She told me that she thought she had left it in the classroom.”
“I asked her where she had last seen it.”
In the morning, the teacher called Sarah and said:
“I found your bag under your desk.”
Sarah was so happy! She ran home and said:
“My teacher says she has found my bag!”
“She told me that it was under my desk.”
🟥 ترجمه داستان: کیف فراموششده
دیشب، سارا اومد خونه و به مامانش گفت: «کیفمو تو مدرسه گم کردم!»
خیلی ناراحت بود. مامانش ازش پرسید: «آخرین بار کجا دیدیش؟»
سارا گفت: «فکر کنم تو کلاس جا گذاشتم.»
بعداً، مامانش به باباش گفت:
«سارا گفت کیفش رو تو مدرسه گم کرده بود.»
«بهم گفت فکر میکرد تو کلاس جا گذاشته.»
«ازش پرسیدم آخرین بار کجا دیده بودش.»
صبح، معلم به سارا زنگ زد و گفت:
«کیفت رو زیر میزت پیدا کردم.»
سارا خیلی خوشحال شد! اومد خونه و گفت:
«معلمم میگه که کیفم رو پیدا کرده!»
