• The Prime Minister is to visit the flood-hit areas tomorrow.
  (نخست‌وزیر قراره فردا از مناطق سیل‌زده بازدید کنه.)
• The train is to leave at 8:00 AM.
  (قطار قراره ساعت ۸ حرکت کنه.)

• You are not to leave the classroom until the bell rings.
  (نباید از کلاس بیرون بری تا زنگ بخوره.)
• Employees are to wear uniforms at all times.
  (کارمندان باید همیشه لباس فرم بپوشن.)

• Children are not to be left alone in the museum.
  (بچه‌ها نباید تنها توی موزه رها بشن.)
• The new law is to be discussed in parliament next week.
  (قانون جدید قراره هفته‌ی بعد توی مجلس بررسی بشه.)

📌 نکته: این ساختار هم می‌تونه معلوم باشه (is to do) و هم مجهول (is to be done)

The president is to address the nation tonight.
(رئیس‌جمهور قراره امشب سخنرانی کنه.)

If the human race is to survive, we must take care of the environment.
(اگر قراره نسل بشر زنده بمونه، باید مراقب محیط‌زیست باشیم.)

📌 به زبان خودمونی:

• "همین الان داشتم فلان کارو می‌کردم!"
• "یه ذره دیگه می‌خواستم فلان کارو کنم!"

🧪 مثال‌های زیاد برای درک بهتر:

• I am about to leave.
  (الان دارم می‌رم.)
• We were about to start dinner when the phone rang.
  (داشتیم شامو شروع می‌کردیم که تلفن زنگ خورد.)
• She is about to cry.
  (نزدیکه گریه‌اش بگیره.)
• Are you about to tell me the truth?
  (قراره حقیقت رو بهم بگی؟)
• I was about to call you when you texted me.
  (داشتم بهت زنگ می‌زدم که تو پیام دادی.)

• The Prime Minister is to announce new policies.
  (برنامه رسمی = به‌زودی اعلام می‌کنه)
• He is about to announce something.
  (همین الآن داره اعلام می‌کنه)
• You are not to speak during the exam.
  (قانون / دستور)
• I was about to sleep when I heard a noise.
  (همین الان داشتم می‌خوابیدم)

Liam had just come home from work when he saw his phone buzzing.

It was a message from his manager: “You are to attend a meeting tomorrow at 9 a.m. sharp.”

He sighed and said to himself, “Again? Another early morning!”

He was about to reply when another message arrived.

This one said, “Also, you are to present your new marketing idea to the board.”

Liam was shocked. He had no idea he was supposed to present anything.

He quickly opened his laptop. “I am about to write the presentation now,” he muttered.

Just then, his wife came in and said, “Dinner is ready!”

Liam laughed and said, “Great timing! I was about to starve!”

لیام تازه از سر کار اومده بود خونه که دید گوشیش داره ویبره می‌زنه.

یه پیام از مدیرش بود: «تو قراره فردا رأس ساعت ۹ توی جلسه شرکت کنی.»

آهی کشید و گفت: «بازم یه صبح زود دیگه؟»

داشت جواب می‌داد که یه پیام دیگه اومد.

توش نوشته بود: «همچنین قراره طرح جدید بازاریابیت رو هم به هیئت مدیره ارائه بدی.»

لیام شوکه شد. اصلاً نمی‌دونست باید ارائه بده!

سریع لپ‌تاپشو باز کرد و گفت: «الان می‌خوام ارائه رو بنویسم.»

همون موقع همسرش اومد تو و گفت: «شام آماده‌ست!»

لیام خندید و گفت: «چه تایمینگ خوبی! داشتم از گرسنگی می‌مُردم!»
